Lorewalker Cho has taken a respite from his duties as lorekeeper of Pandaria to engage in battle at the Celestial Tournament. He appears as one of the random Champions of Pandaria. This is the strategy I use to defeat him.
*This strategy was originally seen in this guide. I have never made any claims that I created this strategy.*
When Patience enters the battle, you should be < 50% health, so use Life Exchange immediately. This will heal you up considerably while buffed with Moonfire and do damage to Patience. Patience will start casting Clean-Up in an attempt to damage you and your backline pets. Continue using Arcane Blast until your Nether Faerie Dragon dies.
Thereafter, bring out one of your spiders. The rotation at this point needs no respect to any abilities that the enemies are casting; just continue to apply Brittle Webbing, Strike to do direct damage, and Leech Life to heal yourself when you are low. Be sure to keep Brittle Webbing up at all times in order to get the most out of Leech Life. You should be able to finish the fight easily with your 2 remaining spiders. Pretty simple!
More Details:
The Nether Faerie Dragon is a Dragonkin pet wild caught in Feralas around the outsides of the Dire Maul dungeon and the inner courtyard before the instance portals. The Nether Faerie Dragon can be caught in Breed#4, or P/P, Breed#5, or S/S, Breed#7 or H/P, Breed#10 or P/B, and Breed#11 or S/B. Any breed is suitable for this encounter.
Dr. Ion Goldbloom has returned from his Jurassic expedition on the Isle of Giants to face us at the Celestial Tournament. He appears as one of the random Champions of Pandaria. This is the strategy I use to defeat him.
*This strategy was originally seen in this guide. I have never made any claims that I created this strategy.*
Opening with your Warbot, place your Minefield on the first round and then immediately switch to your Nexus Whelpling. Screamer uses Feign Death, which will force a pet switch, thereby making Minefield an extremely easy way to get big damage on the new pet on their first turn.
Upon switching to your Nexus Whelpling, use Arcane Storm. Arcane Storm will buff your 3 – round Mana Surge and take it from powerful to devastating. After a round or so of Mana Surge damage, Screamer will use the aforementioned Feign Death and bring out Trike. Sometimes Minefield plus the last round of Mana Surge will kill him outright, but as you can see in the video I was a bit unlucky. In any case, after Mana Surge finishes switch back to your Warbot. If Trike can be killed in 2 turns or less, just use Missle, otherwise cast Launch Rocket to finish him off.
When Trike Dies, place another Minefield. Screamer will be the pet switched back in, and he will be at very low health. He will use Lift-Off and be un-attackable for one round; at this time use Launch Rocket; the “Charging” round will take place while Screamer is in the air and when he lands the rocket will go off, likely killing him.
Chaos enters the battle and will take a good chunk of damage from Minefield. Use your Warbot until he dies, and then bring out the Crimson Whelpling. Use Lift-Off to avoid damage from Logic, woven in with your Healing Flame when low on health, and Tail Sweep. This should finish off Chaos. Alternatively you might use your Nexus Whelpling and cast Mana Surge in this spot if they have enough HP; or in my case in the video, both due to poor RNG. Either combination will work fine. Happy hunting!

The Warbot is a Mechanical pet that can be purchased in Dalaran from Jepetto Joybuzz at the toy shop for 500g (before discounts). If you don’t want to travel all the way to Northrend, Alliance may pick one up from Craggle Wobbletop, who pats in a U-shape on the Canal side of the Trade District in Stormwind City; Horde may purchase one from Blax Bottlerocket, who can be found walking the path up and down The Drag. The Warbot is learned as Uncommon and is only available in Breed#4, or P/P.
A fun bit of history about this battle pet; originally this was a non-combat pet called “Battlebot” acquired from a 2009 promotion Blizzard had with Mountain Dew in order to launch their World of Warcraft version of Game Fuel. It was only available for a limited time to US servers only, came with your choice of Horde Red or Alliance Blue “fuel”. At that point, the pets could battle each other randomly if you came across another opposite faction player with the fuel in their bot. What a concept, right? The pet was eventually discontinued with the end of the promotion and renamed Warbot and released with the Cataclysm. I do not believe there has ever been an explanation for why it was stealth-renamed, but some theorized that it had to do with brand confusion and the now defunct television show Battlebots. Today you can purchase the fuel from any of the toy vendors that sell the bot.
The Nexus Whelpling is a Dragonkin pet, wild caught in in the Coldarra Area of Borean Tundra. The pets spawn on the circular island all around The Nexus. They spawn a bit slowly, so patience is key if you are waiting to capture. The Nexus Whelpling can be captured in Breed#4, or P/P, Breed#8, or P/S, and Breed#10, or P/B. Any breed is suitable for this fight.
The Crimson Whelpling is a Dragonkin pet, looted from a zone drop from the Wetlands. It comes in the lootable form of a Tiny Crimson Whelpling. This pet is extraordinarily hard to farm given the range of mobs that it can drop off; I use this pet in the fight because I have had it for a long time and never get to really use it, however my focus on attainability of pets makes this impractical for the average player who hasn’t been lucky enough to get this drop.
Luckily, the same moveset is available from the much more readily available Wild Crimson Hatchling, which is a wild caught Dragonkin pet from the Arboretum area, near the Order of the Cloud Serpent base in The Jade Forest. Please note that in order to see the pet spawns in the Arboretum (Wild Crimson Hatchling, Wild Jade Hatchling and Wild Golden Hatchling) you must be revered with the Order of the Cloud Serpent. This is not an accountwide flag, so the particular toon you are on must be exalted; ex. my Warlock is exalted thus can see the spawns, however my shaman is merely neutral and cannot, though they are on the same server and account. The Wild Crimson Hatchling can be caught in Breed#5, or S/S, only.
The Darkmoon Faire is on this week, and every pet battler knows that means Jeremy Feasel is in town and ready to battle you for that chance at a Darkmoon Eye, and of course, bragging rights. If you have never battled him before, Jeremy Feasel is located at the Darkmoon Faire and you will need to purchase some Darkmoon Game Tokens to engage him in battle.
There are a lot of different strategies to defeat this tamer; I will post a few that I use with different teams of pets.
Open with your Lil’ XT vs Judgement. Cast Tympanic Tantrum. This will last 3 rounds while Judgement tries to put some damage on you. You will take less damage as mechanical from Judgement’s magic attacks, so it should not be too much. After Tympanic Tantrum is over, use Repair. This will put you in stasis unable to make moves for 2 rounds but you will recover a lot of health. Cast Zap as filler until your Tympanic Tantrum is back up, and repeat the process. Your aim is to cast as many Tympanic Tantrums as you can while attempting to Repair in between. This will do heavy damage to both backline pets. If both are on cooldown or you are facing certain death, always use Zap as filler. I am usually able to cast Tympanic Tantrum twice.
When Lil’ XT dies for good, swap in your Lil’ Ragnaros. Cast Sons of the Flame. Sons of the Flame will submerge you, protecting you from all damage for 3 rounds while your mini fire elementals dish out damage. Honky Tonk should be very low on health now due to Sons of the Flame and the previous backline damage from Tympanic Tantrum. When you emerge, lay down your Magma Trap. Ideally Magma Trap will detonate on the next pet, Fezwick, but there is a possibility it will hit Honky-Tonk since it is a random chance ability. Use Sulfuras Smash as many times as needed to kill off Honky-Tonk.
Fezwick is up last, and will be faster than your Lil’ Rag. He will attempt to stun you for a round with Clobber. Once you are stunned with Clobber this is an ideal time to bring in your leveling pet for their requisite round.* Your leveling pet should probably be level 8 or above just to be safe. Switch back to Lil’ Rag and smash Fezwick into submission with Sulfuras Smash until you have won.
*As you can see in this particular battle my Magma Trap went off before Fezwick could stun me, and my Sulfuras Smash ability fired immediately after, so he died before my leveling pet could take its round and get XP. Another place you could potentially slot in your leveling pet for their round is the very first round; Judgement does not do high damage and generally buffs himself with his non-damaging Focused Beams first.

For most of my strategies I have avoided using pet store pets because not everyone has them or has the means to acquire them, and any pet encounter in this game can be beaten without the use of pet store pets. However I do have them and love using them, so I allowed an exception in this case.
Both Lil’ Ragnaros and Lil’ XT can be purchased from the Blizzard pet store both in-game with the Shop button and online. Both pets are learned as rare. Lil’ XT is only available in Breed#7, or H/P. Lil’ Ragnaros is only available in Breed#4, or P/P. Incidentally, Lil’ Ragnaros has the highest power stat of all battle pets currently in the game, so he is worth the purchase if you have the means.
Lil’ XT has a Trading Card Game clone in Landro’s Lil’ XT. They are separate, identical pets with identical abilities, just a different name and way to acquire them.
The Darkmoon Faire is on this week, and every pet battler knows that means Jeremy Feasel is in town and ready to battle you for that chance at a Darkmoon Eye, and of course, bragging rights. Open with your Infinite Whelpling against Judgement. Judgement will take extra damage from your Tail Sweep. Since Judgement is faster than any breed of Infinite Whelpling, your Tail Sweep will do additional damage. Use your Tail Sweep for the first two rounds against Judgement. On the third round, use your Healing Flame. Judgement is at low health and easily finished right now with a Tail Sweep, but what you want is to use Healing Flame in order to kill Judgement on the next round, thus activating your Dragonkin family ability to do MEGA damage against Honky-Tonk. The Dragonkin racial plus baked-in extra damage on Mechanicals with the Early Advantage ability will take a good portion of Honky-Tonks health. You may even crit and kill him outright. So in short, cast Early Advantage when Feasel brings out Honky-Tonk and watch the damage roll in. Keep using your Infinite Whelpling‘s Tail Sweep until he dies. If your Infinite Whelpling dies before Honky-Tonk, use your Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling and simply cast Breath the round or two it will take to finish Honky-Tonk.
When Feasel brings out Fezwick, put in your Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling if he is not already in play. He will be faster than Fezwick, so you are able to immediately cast Bombing Run before Fezwick uses Clobber and stuns you for a round. Pass on the stun round, and then cast Breath until your Bombing Run has 1 round left on it. At that point, cast Explode. You will do tons of damage to Fezwick and either this Explode or Bombing Run coming in immediately after will kill him. Since Explode is a suicide maneuver and deactivates failsafes, all pets will be dead except your leveling pet and he will be the sole survivor, raking in all that sweet XP.
More Details:
The Infinite Whelpling is a wild catch from Tanaris, Kalimdor, just outside and also found inside the Caverns of Time. The Infinite Whelping can be caught in Breed#4, or P/P, Breed#8 or P/S, and Breed#10 or P/B. In this video I used a Breed#4, or P/P Infinite Whelpling but the strategy can be executed with any breed.
The Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling is a mechanical pet created by engineers of skill level 575; you can purchase it in the Auction House or craft one/have it crafted. The materials are not too expensive. The pet is learned as uncommon quality and only comes in Breed#5, or S/S. In this video, you will see I have opted to use a battle stone and upgrade him to rare quality. If you do have access to a battle stone I would definitely recommend that you consider this pet for an upgrade. It is quite unique in that it is a mechanical family pet with a Dragonkin attack; he does bonus damage to Magic type pets while at the same time taking decreased damage from them.
As your leveling pet will never face an opponent with this strategy, it can be as low as level 1.
Sully “The Pickle” McLeary has finished his mourning period and taken a newly-undead Socks to the Celestial Tournament. He appears as one of the random Champions of Pandaria. This is the strategy I use to defeat him.
*This strategy was originally seen in this guide. I have never made any claims that I created this strategy.*
Open with your Frog/Toad and Tounge Lash. Put up Swarm of Flies next. Socks will cast Claw at you repeatedly and attempt to disease you with Infected Claw, but it does little damage since you are using an Aquatic pet. Use Healing Wave on the third round to keep ahead of Socks’ damage. Continue to Tongue Lash and reapply Swarm of Flies when the debuff wears off as needed. When Socks gets very low on health he will bow out by casting Unholy Ascension.
Monte the Rabbit comes out next. Keep your Aquatic in for as long as you can, using Tongue Lash and Healing Wave appropriately to keep yourself alive as long as possible. When your Frog/Toad dies, bring out your Sandy Petrel (or equivalent) and lead off with Cyclone. Cyclone has a chance to do damage to the remaining backline pet. Thrash and attempt to coordinate your Lift-Off with Burrow depending on your speed. Continue until Sandy Petrel dies.
Bring out your Moth; cast Moth Dust on whichever opponent is in front of you (you may have to whittle some health off of Monte still). When Monte dies, continue the standard “Moth rotation” of casting Moth Dust on cooldown, coordinating Cocoon Strike with Bloodfang if possible, and using Alpha Strike as filler. Since Rikki does decreased damaged to your Flying pets, you should be victorious in a few rounds.
More Details:
Any Frog or Toad will be able to perform in the first slot.
In the second slot I used a Sandy Petrel because he is the pet that was available to me at that point, but you can use any of the similar flyers with success.
Any Moth pet is suitable for the third slot in this encounter. All Moths have the three abilities needed to win this battle; Alpha Strike, Cocoon Strike, and Moth Dust. It really cannot get any simpler than this.
This is the strategy I use to defeat Little Tommy Newcomer; he is a pet tamer located here on the Timeless Isle in the Celestial Courtyard, @ roughly 34,60 coordinates.
*Strategy from this guide. This is simply a strategy I use to beat this tamer, I do not claim it “as my own” or as “original content”*
The use of three Mechanical type pets in this strategy is advantageous because 1) Call Lightning boosts damage from Mechanical abilities by 25%. 2) Lil’ Oondasta is a Beast and as such will take increased damage from all Mechanical abilities. 3) Mechanical pets take reduced damage from Lil’ Oondasta’s Magic attacks, so they are a bit sturdier.
The Clockwork Gnome is obtained via Dwarven Archaeology through the Archaeology profession; it is a rare artifact and requires 100 fragments to complete, with the option to use 3 Dwarf Rune Stones. This Mechanical pet is learned as rare and is only available in Breed#11 or S/B. If you do not have Archaeology or do not wish to level it, this pet can be caged and sold on the auction house. On my low-med population server, TUJ states a market price of 3000g. Your mileage may vary. Again, I consider this one of my staples of the stable; it is well worth the time spent or gold, whichever you choose, if you want to do a lot of pet battling.
Any pet with Exposed wounds would work in your third slot, however I consider the Cogblade Raptor to be the best in this battle since he is the only mechanical pet with this ability, and mechanical pets take less damage from Lil’ Oondasta’s Magic attacks. The Cogblade Raptor is a wild catch from Blade’s Edge Mountains in Outland. He spawns (appropriately) in this area around Toshley’s Station and plateau overlooking Death’s Door. Cogblade Raptor can be captured in Breed#5, or S/S, Breed#11, or S/B, and Breed#3, or B/B. I used the Breed#3, or B/B version in this fight but any breed is suitable.
Zao, son of the enormous ox Niuzao, appears in the Celestial Tournament as one of the final challengers to defeat before being declared the new champion.
*This strategy was originally seen in this guide. I have never made any claims that I created this strategy.*
Your Sunreaver Micro-Sentry is up first. I open with Fel Immolate to get that damage ticking. Next, cast Call Lightning. Keep applying Fel Immolate until your Sunreaver Micro-Sentry drops dead. Zao will kill him within a few rounds with his hard-hitting Niuzao’s Charge ability plus Trample. Zao will also attempt to Wish, which is the bane of this fight. As you can see in my video, my timing was off* and Wish ended up healing Zao for quite a bit, but I was still soundly victorious, so do not worry if Wish ends up landing successfully; you can still win.
*I should have switched the Sunreaver Micro-Sentry out when he died initially and used his Mechanical pop-up ability. This move might have scored a kill before Wish went off.
The Zandalari Anklerender and Zandalari Kneebiter are both obtained via a drop from Zandalari Dinomancers, which are located in these areas on the Isle of Giants. Their brothers, the Zandalari Footslasher and Zandalari Toenibbler drop from the same mobs. They are all cageable and available on the auction house if you do not wish to farm them. TUJ lists both pets between about 200g and 500g on my low-med population server. These pets come in a few different breeds, so if you are after a particular breed it may take some trial and error in either farming or buying. In this video I used the Breed#4, or P/P version of my Zandalari Anklerender and the Breed#8, or P/S version of the Zandalari Kneebiter. Any breed works here; it is up to your preference or interest as to which one you use. The Zandalari Anklerender and Zandalari Kneebiter are both learned as rare and both available in Breed#4, or P/P, Breed#5, or S/S, Breed#8, or P/S, and Breed#10, or P/B.
Chi-Chi, chick of the flaming crane Chi-Ji, appears in the Celestial Tournament as one of the final challengers to defeat before being declared the new champion.
This strategy will show you how to reliably defeat Chi-Chi in 4 turns. Yes, 4 turns!
Chrominius is a Dragonkin pet obtained via defeating Chromaggus in Blackwing Lair. If you cannot or do not want to farm this pet, he is cageable and available on the auction house. TUJ lists him between 1000 and 3000g on my low- med population server. Chrominius is learned as rare and only available in Breed#6, or H/H.
Yu’la, baby daughter of the imposing green serpent matriarch Yu’lon, appears in the Celestial Tournament as one of the final challengers to defeat before being declared the new champion.
*This strategy was originally seen in this guide. I have never made any claims that I created this strategy.*
Lead off with your Ghostly Skull, and cast Ghostly Bite. Ghostly Bite will stun you for one round. Pass and continue by casting Shadow Slash. Yu’la will buff herself with Emerald Presence and execute her other abilities against you. Your goal with the Ghostly Skull is to put a little damage on Yu’la until she kills you. On your Undead family ability’s freebie death round, cast Unholy Ascension, thus causing Yu’la to take 25% more damage from all your pets attacks for 9 rounds.
Next comes Bonkers, and he will do most, if not all (as you can see in this particular video the third pet was not even needed) of the damage required to defeat Yu’la. We go first, so use Tornado Punch to do some big damage, and possibly stun, Yu’la. Continue to Jab while Yu’la spams Jade Breath. If Yu’la uses Lift-Off, cast Dodge to completely block the damage from the second part of the attack. Continue to use Tornado Punch on cooldown; otherwise, Jab. You should either kill or get Yu’la very close to death with your second pet.
If your third pet is needed, bring them in to clean up the last few percent.
More Details:
There are 2 player-available pets in the game with the ability Unholy Ascension. The Ghostly Skull is by far the more accessible of the two, the other being the elusive, unpredictably spawned and extremely popular wild catch, Unborn Val’kyr. Both pets are just fine in this slot, but for the purposes of this guide I assume not everyone is so lucky to obtain this pet. If you have the Unborn Val’kyr, use it instead to make use of Curse of Doom in the second ability slot. Ghostly Skull is available to purchase in the Dalaran Sewers at a base price of 40g, from Darahir, who resides in the northernmost room of the Underbelly. The Ghostly Skull can be learned as Breed#6, or H/H, Breed#7, or H/P, and Breed#12, or H/B. Any breed is acceptable for this fight.
Bonkers is obtainable via collecting 500 Timeless Coins and using them to purchase Kukuru’s Cache Key, which in turn is used to open Timeless Chests. Each timeless chest has a chance to have random items in it, including Bonkers. Master Kukuru is located here on the Timeless Isle, inside the cave at Red Stone Run. Since random is random, your mileage will vary on obtaining this pet. I had a hard time getting my first one, but have had other people report that they were destroying 3-4 a session in pursuit of Burdens of Eternity and other items. He is not cageable so obtaining the breed you want is a difficult enterprise. For this fight against Yu’la a speed of 288+ is recommended and makes the fight a measure easier by being able to predict Lift-Off and avoid damage with Dodge. This excludes a few breeds of this pet, but the fight is absolutely doable with any breed regardless; the speed stat just makes things a lot easier. If you come up with a less ideal breed the encounter can still be defeated. Bonkers is learned as rare and comes in several breeds; Breed#4, or P/P, Breed#5 or S/S, Breed#7, or H/P, Breed#8 or P/S, and Breed#9 or H/S.
As I mentioned in the video, your third slot may not even be used. I chose a Pandaren Monk because he was what I had available, but any humanoid type pet will do in this slot. Bonkers will do the majority of the wet work in this battle and unless you have come down with a horrible bout of misses the third pet should only be needed for a turn or two.
Xu-Fu, the completely adorable cub of Xuen, appears in the Celestial Tournament as one of the final challengers to defeat before being declared the new champion.
*This strategy was originally seen in this guide. I have never made any claims that I created this strategy.*
Lead off with your Alpine Foxling Kit (or other suitable pet) and cast Dazzling Dance. This will make all your pets faster than Xu-Fu for 9 rounds. On your second round, cast Bite to put a bit of damage on the enemy. Xu-Fu will put up Moonfire so his Spirit Claws are a guaranteed hit, and thereafter being spamming those Spirit Claws. Xu-Fu will do a ton of damage to you. Sometimes your Alpine Foxling Kit will die before he has the opportunity to cast Howl if Xu-Fu gets a lucky crit, but most times this has happened I have been able to win the fight regardless due to the strength of the remaining pets. Cast Howl on what should be your death round, and this will apply Shattered Defenses to Xu-Fu.
Bring our your Spider of choice and cast Brittle Webbing. Once your Brittle Webbing is up, cast your Spiderling Swarm. With the Howl buff up, the Spiderling Swarm should do devastating damage to Xu-Fu. He will attempt to heal by casting Feed on you to regain health, but it should not matter much. Strike until your spider breathes his last.
Any pet with the ability moveset including Dazzling Dance and Howl is suitable for the first slot in this encounter. All of the foxes and worgs have it and are easily obtainable.
The Darkmoon Tonk performs very well in the third slot with two high damage abilities, Shock and Awe and Ion Cannon. The Darkmoon Tonk is available each month at the Darkmoon Faire for 90 Darkmoon Prize Tickets. It is also a rare drop from the Darkmoon Game Prize package that you receive when completing any of the “game” daily quests during the Faire, and of course as always on your local auction house. Darkmoon Tonk is learned as rare and only available in Breed#7, or H/P.
Wise Mari swam on over from the Jade Forest and appears in the Celestial Tournament as one of the random Champions of Pandaria. This is the strategy I use to defeat him.
*This strategy was originally seen in this guide. I have never made any claims that I created this strategy.*
Switch to your Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling. In this particular battle, Spirus immediately put up Soul Ward, thereby negating any Breath attacks I could make. He will sometimes wait until his second turn to cast Soul Ward as well. Keep an eye on this ability; when he uses it, cast Thunderbolt. Thunderbolt will not damage Spirus with the Soul Ward up but it will both consume it and do damage to the backline pets. So in short, if he does not cast Soul Ward, use Breath. If he does, use Thunderbolt. After that, put up your Decoy and have him fruitlessly attack you for 2 rounds behind your wall. Resume Breath spam and Thunderbolt through Soul Wards. Use Breath until Spirus is dead.
Wise Mari will bring out River. River will cast Whirlpool and Dive. Resume casting Breath and Decoy on cooldown and continue damaging River until the Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling dies. Bring your Moth back onto the field; River should have very little health at this point. Cast Moth Dust and Alpha Strike at will and he should be defeated in a few rounds.
If for some reason RNG gets the better of you and kills your Moth, bring out your Aquatic pet to finish off River. Winner!

It is quite unique in that it is a mechanical family pet with a Dragonkin attack; as you see in this video he does bonus damage to Magic type pets while at the same time taking decreased damage from them. This makes him an ideal choice against many magical opponents.
Any Aquatic pet will be able to perform in the third slot. The Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling and Moth usually are able to handle this fight flawlessly, but it is always good to prepare for disaster and have a strong pet ready to clean up in case of emergency.
Blingtron 4000, taking a break from his daily schedule of distributing G91 Landsharks, appears in the Celestial Tournament as one of the random Champions of Pandaria. This is the strategy I use to defeat him.
*This strategy was originally seen in this guide. I have never made any claims that I created this strategy.*
Blingtron will bring out his Critter piggy, Banks. Cast Whirlpool on Banks. Return your Pandaren Water Spirit to the backline; his work here is done. Bring out your Core Hound Pup, and cast Howl. Whirlpool will go off around this time, dealing damage to Banks. Burrow on your next round as Banks continues to cast Make it Rain and attempt to heal via Buried Treasure. Your Burrow will hit with bonus damage plus apply Howl‘s Shattered Defenses debuff and should either kill or severely injure Banks by this round. If he is still alive, Thrash him once to finish him off. If he is dead, Blingtron will bring out Lil’ B, his Mechanical.
The variables in this fight are chances to miss on Dives and Burrows. I have had it happen myself and have still been able to win. The most important thing to remember is to Howl and have Shattered Defenses up on Lil’ B before putting your Core Hound Pup away, it makes the last part of the battle trivial.
Core Hound Pup is and Elemental pet obtained from applying an authenticator to any Battle.net account. You will receive him in the mail on your next login. If you don’t have an authenticator yet, try to get one, if not to protect your account but for this pet with a unique set of abilities! The Core Hound Pup is great in this fight due to the combination of his Beast abilities bonus damage against the Critter Banks, plus being able to apply Shattered Defenses with Howl and follow it up with an extremely hard hitting Burrow. The Core Hound Pup is learned as rare and is only available in Breed#7, or H/P.
Fel Flame is a wild catch Elemental pet from Shadowmoon Valley, around the Fel Pits in the center of the zone. The moveset and abilities of the Fel Flame are identical to that of two other pets, the Searing Scorchling and the Spirit of Summer. This moveset coupled with Shattered Defenses will melt Lil’ B into a tiny puddle. Either of those pets can be slotted in easily to fill Fel Flame‘s role if you already have them leveled and do not want to chase after a rare Fel Flame. My focus here is on accessibility, so the wild pet will always win out in most of my strategies. Feel free to use any of these pets in your third slot against Lil’ B. Fel Flame can be captured in Breed#6, or H/H, Breed#7, or H/P, and Breed#9, or H/S.
